Clara's ballet class wrapped up on Friday the 13th, and the kids put on a little performance (they called it a "dance party"). Clara wanted to dress up a little more than usual, so we got out this sparkly ballet costume and the fancy ponytail holder. As you can see, the theme at this age is pink. We thought she was quite poised, recovering quickly when she sat down but was supposed to be standing. (See movie below.)
Sunday was Father's Day, and we went to the Marina to fly kites with Papa--one of his favorite activities, and one of Clara's favorite things to do with him.

thanks for the video--it helped me finally understand what draws little girls to ballet--I see it's not just an idealized beauty, but the sheer fun of it!
